When Did November Get Here?

Wow! Who knew November could be so sneaky? Last time I checked I had just taken my summer clothes out and bought new flip flops.

But New Month, New Intentions, right guys? I’ve created a handy guide that you can download that will help you guide yourself towards your intentions for this month. I don’t want to tell you what to do, but here are a few tips:

  1. Keep it simple. Avoid adding huge goals “Lose 20 lbs right before the holidays” just isn’t viable and will not help you keep positive. Try something smaller and realistic. “Eat breakfast every day and actually enjoy myself at Thanksgiving dinner.”

  2. Take your time. Sit down with a cup of coffee or tea somewhere comfortable and really think about what your intentions this month should be.

  3. Make them about you. These are your intentions and your goals. It’s not selfish to want to improve your mood or think more positively. When you’re feeling good, everyone around you benefits.

  4. Stay positive. Negative intentions like “Don’t do anything that will embarrass myself” or “Stop being lazy and go to the gym” will demotivate you. If you’re kind to yourself, you will be much more likely to hit those goals.

Over the next month we will focus more on holiday intentions and staying mindful in the moment during stressful situations.
